Erectile dysfunction medicines took in Glengormley

8 April 2011

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines through the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its office, Peter Moore, stated: “It is essential that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.

“These types of items being sold, normally online, have actually undergone no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their security.

“You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not understand the result drugs like this might have on your health.”
